
INSTRUCTOR BIO
John Myles is the chief instructor for the Bujinkan Gyo-Un Ryusui Dojo. He has been training in Japanese Budo for over 30 years and held black belts in Karate and Judo prior to studying Budo Taijutsu under Masaaki Hatsumi and his senior teachers in the US and Japan. The dojo is under the guidance of Dai-Shihan Kevin Schneider of the Bujinkan Akahige Dojo...

John has his Shidoshi Menkyo (teaching license) and was given the rank of Judan (10th Dan) in 2018 by Hatsumi Sensei at Hombu Dojo.
​
He is married with three young daughters and works as a manager in the outdoor sporting goods industry.
​
John continues to travel for his own training with his teachers in the US and Japan and his students are always welcome to accompany him to Japan to train with Hatsumi Sensei and his senior teachers.
